Early Life and Music Career

RDB (Rhythm, Dhol and Bass) was formed by three individuals who were passionate about music and wanted to make something new. In order to do so, three persons named Kuly, Manj and Surj came together to unite the western tunes with Punjabi beats and vocals to create something unique. Not only western music, they also brought different tunes together and fused with Punjabi music and what came is for everyone one to listen to and feel.

Ever since their initial release in 2001, they have influenced many and as a result have also formed an international fan base of millions from all ages and backgrounds. These three brothers have created a niche for themselves as they redefined the way Bhangra music was looked and made a new genre called British Bhangra and it also gave them fame and recognition.

With almost a decade of hits under their belt, they have also conducted successful live concerts almost all over the world.

They are also credited with the only musical band in the history of music to have collaborated Punjabi and Bollywood music with American Hip-Hop.

RDB Rhythm Dhol Bass has come a long way in becoming one of the leading South Asian Producers, Musicians, Singers and Entertainers in the world. Orignally, founded by a group of three Punjabi Sikh brothers Kuly, Manj and Surj in 2000 and were introduced to music at a young age by their father who taught them to sing religious songs and play the harmonium in their Gurdwara (Temple). With the unforutnalte dimise of the eldest brother Kuly in 2012 and Manj’s departure to pursuit a solo career in early 2014, SurjRDB now heads the Rhythm Dhol Bass team bringing even more rocking performances and composition.
